SADC
The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is an inter-governmental organization headquartered in Gaborone, Botswana.
Its goal is to further socio-economic cooperation and integration as well as political and security cooperation among 15 southern African states. It complements the role of the African Union.

COMESA
The Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) is a free trade area with twenty member states stretching from Libya to Swaziland.
Headquartered in Lusaka, Zambia, it is Africas largest economic community with a total population of around 430 million and an estimated combined GDP of US$ 447 billion.

Property Development


The commercial space market
The SADC region has seen a number of years of consistent economic growth and as a consequence there has been a continuously growing demand in the commercial space market.
In 2008, De la Motte Zambia started investigating the Zambian commercial space market in order to find ways to capitalise on this growth.
Construction of the first commercial storage facilities were started during 2009 and the first units were handed over to clients that same year.

By October the 1st, 2010 - De la Motte completed its first showroom facility which is still in operation.

As a result of the strong growth experienced during the first phase of establishing De la Motte Zambia LTD in the commercial space market, the decision was been made to further expand the investments in capacity in storage facilities and high quality, modern office space.

Modern office facilities came online in 2015 and serve a wide range of clients - from smaller offices up to the Zambian Commodities Exchange, a local bank branch and a major printing/repro business that also serves as a wholesale outlet of advanced printing/repro supplies to the region.

The consumer space market
Although De la Motte Zambia has focused on the commercial space market until now, our current commercial clients have expressed their need for housing for their key employees.
De la Motte Zambia LTD is currently investigating the consumer space market and has recently secured access to the land to be used for the first project. We expect to enter this segment more actively within the next 36 months.

Facilities management
De la Motte Zambia LTD is able to provide a range of value-added services, such as:
  • Data centre operations / Systems migration
  • Systems Integration / Application development
  • Specialised staffing solutions such as assisting with establishing or running IT Operations teams
Services within IT facilities management and migration are typically interesting to Financial institutions who are moving into offices leased out by De la Motte Zambia.
By leveraging more than 30 man-years of previous experience within technical infrastructure in the area of banking and finance, we are able to provide world class solutions to any challenges a customer may face.

De la Motte Zambia LTD provide consultancy services with a focus on large scale infrastructure development in the SADC region.

The De la Motte Group is currently involved in a number of projects ranging from, for instance, the expansion of two regional sea ports, telecommunication bandwidth expansion (expansion of regional fiber optic links), various regional trade initiatives, electricity (power capacity expansion).

Agriculture

The De la Motte Group is providing assistance to large scale agriculture projects in the Southern African region, with projects primarily in Zambia and the Seychelles.
The group is also providing its advisory services in the area of bilateral intra-governmental food-security projects that are currently carried out as public-private partnerships in the SADC region.
